A whole lot of change

Exams are over and so is school, what now? Lol not a whole lot. Well, partys, partys and sleep really haha. I am in the process of getting a job but its taking longer than I had thought and in the meantime I may as well relax lol. I cant believe schools over forever, excluding university. Then I have to move out, start my own life. It's cool tho cos a few of my friends plus my boyfriend are coming with me so I wont be alone. According to my disgruntled english teacher, I am a changed person and its a shame I became social haha. It's odd because shes the only one that thinks that. Everyone else is really really happy and glad about it. One of those people include me. I made it my goal at the start of the year to be more outgoing and be more friendly and i think iv accomplished that quite well. I did the talent quest, gone to partys, lots of other stuff that i wouldnt have done in my dreams. So really her opinion meant nothing cos its wrong. She said to me "Is it just english that u started to not put as much work in for?" And i would have told her the truth but i thought i better not, but the truth was that i didnt work in english because she didnt teach properly and she picked favourites then ignored the others. It was so unfair, so I decided to ignore her. She doesnt realise i actually worked a million times harder in subjects like geography which I actually care about. This could seem childish and immature but it did have its reasons and other people thought the same as me so i guess i cant have been that wrong. Im glad i never have to be taught be her again anyways. I went for my first job interview last week and i thought it went quite well, i was kind of offered the job but turned it down as it wasnt what Id expected, stupid move really but it really was a boring job. Guess ill have to keep searching. Life is just beginning, and I cant wait to experience it on my own two feet so its my own experiences. December already, almost christmas time!! Cant believe it. Scaryness haha. Oh and a couple of days ago, we glad wraped his guys car, who is in our year, we used over 400, of the stuff then we got shaving cream to put on as well but he caught us b4 we did that part so we had a huge shaving cream fight and got covered haha. Was so much fun and we got revenge for all his smart jokes all year too. It was great. Oh well thats about my rant for this time. Ciao for now people.

Its almost over!!

So one week and 2 days to my high school life is over!!! Cant believe it. Iv decided to go to Waikato uni to study geography next year, whether thats the right thing to do or not is another question but i can always change my mind and do something totally different. Got a whole life to live right? You could say this is a stressful time recently with all the work and study but at the same time its sorta of exciting that soon im gonna be responsible for what I do and who I am. No more going to the same place everyday and doing the same things. Iv applyed for 2 jobs now. One in a supermarket and one as an IT assistant hehe. Yes thats right, Im the computer geek who loves to play around with computers for hours on end and drink coffee but thats ok cos i like the outdoors too. Im hoping to go to climbing camp some time before uni starts cos I havent done much climbing for aaaaaages. Coming back to the topic of school, , my geography study is going good. Actually passing the tests with good marks is giving me good reason to smile. All those hours going over and over the same things must work well. We're studying 1984 in english or drivilish as we call it. The book itself was quite good on first reading before the teacher tore it apart. Now its just like ugh do we have to read this and analyse it anymore!!! Same with the film we watched. I didnt like it in the first place but hey it wasnt too bad but with a few "And what does this camera angle represent to moral society?" chucked in there it just wasnt the same. Im really gonna miss some of the teachers when I leave, theyre really cool and some are more like friends especially my computer teacher shes awesome. Guess ya gotta move on tho at some stage and my time has arrived. Im keeping in mind my whole travel thing and I was talking to a friend on the net the other day who is in Iraq in the army and he was telling me and trying to describe how much different it actually is there compared to the medias view that they show to us and it just made me realise even more, ya gotta get out there and see for yourself, not just hear or read about things because it wont be real. Theres a real world out there but you just gotta go after it to really experience it. Also in my life recently, iv started to read my bible again after a period of not. Iv realised its something i want in my life and it feels right this time. Its all about learning Iv realised. You cant just expect to understand cos thats just not the way it goes. Wow, its November all ready. Scary how fast this year has gone by. Like I went to OPC in April and now its November. Life moves quick so Im gonna run as fast as I can but slow enough to really experince everything it has to offer. Schools over, life starts and so does my journey. Hahaha thats very philosophical for a Wednesday evening. And, Im still determinded to go to Mt.Everest and the general region to go make a difference, their way, not a westerners way. I want to help the people but in a way thats theirs. So yea, thats always being my dream and still is :D Keep dreaming people.

Back to reality

Well, holidays are at a sorry end. Reality is kicking in and im running in the opposite direction. During this "Study break" i had promised myself i was gonna study in the second week all week. When the time came it just didnt happen so here i am lol not much better off but much more stress free well thats not exactly true. Still got too many decisions and life altering things going on that i dont exactly want to deal with. Only 5 more weeks of school left then its getting a job time even though i dont want one hahahaha. Then its off to uni. Iv got accepted into Waikato but i dunno about Auckland. I got into the accommodation there tho haha. I really dunno if uni is my thing yet but i suppose u gotta give it a try right. If it doesnt work out then oh well. Still gonna follow my dreams of Mt Everest. Climbing is always gonna rock my sox. Hmm itd be nice just to go build myself a little hut in the middle of the bush and just live in peace with nature lol. I can dream tho, its free and doesnt require a million forms to fill out. Ugh, just thinking of next year gives me a headache, wish i had more time. In a very odd place right now but im sure it'll pass.

Just another glance at the sun

Three more days to the holidays!!! Yayness. Only thing about these holidays though is you either study or u dont but then feel guilty for not and so u cant really enjoy em anyways haha. Hope its gonna be sunny for them cos i really want to get out and about sumwhere. Next term is gonna be my last ever one at college, such a scary thought. A few people from my school are going to the same university as me so thats good, ill know a few people. Oh another good thing is summers coming!! hehe cant wait to just relax in the sun and get a tan. My desk is a no go zone at the moment as there is soooo much paperwork on it its getting there tho. We went down to Forest pools on the weekend and took my lilo and boogie board to go down the rapids on. Trust me, during a race, to collide with a fallen tree and get doubled up between it and my lilo then get flipped off and into the freezing water to get dragged down the rapids on my stomach hitting the rocks haha. Wasnt too nice at the time, all i could think was breathe, breathe hehe. Got out, much shamed and shivering but laughing. Then we carried on up stream to find sum more even bigger rapids to play in and collected sum rocks then came back down stream to dry off and go home. Was mean fun. Its cool as walking up that river, its so scenic. Its absolutely freezing like it hurts to get in at first but after a while its bearable and then u get into the spirit of things and think what the heck and just dive in lolz. Hmmm yea, thats about everything thats happened in my life hehe. Dream high people XD

Talent quest 08

Ok so last night was the annual OC talent quest and i actually entered this year haha. My friend and her sister and I did the evolution of dance. 6 minutes long and i started learning it at 3pm the same day haha. Remembered it all tho which was good. The hall was like fully packed so i was very proud of myself for getting up there and doing it cos i usually wouldnt have. My legs hurt bad as today hehe. It went really really well over all tho had a lot of fun rehearsing and performing it. That was my accomplishment for the year and was a very proud moment. Was glad my pixie was there to watch too that was cool. Hmmm im so glad its Friday today, a whole two days relaxing and apparently it has to be sunny so yay i may even get to be outdoors for more than 5 minutes without getting drenched. This is gonna be the shortest entry i have most likely as its almost time to leave for school and i havent made lunch yet. Oh but in other good news, I GOT INTO HEADSPACE!!!!!!! How cool is that!!! I was soooooo happy. That made my week. Such awesome news. Keep dreaming XD

Cos thats how we roll

Well my geo test went quite well really, got a merit hehe yay!! Still got heaps to learn for the other case study tho. Im going to auckland on saturday for a uni visit thing should be cool. Always like a good trip to auckland. Is anyone else sick of rainy weekends? You get nice days during the week when were stuck in classrooms but as soon as u get home and have free time its rainy. Hope its good weather this weekend, i got plans. Hmm well iv still got no idea what to do next year. So many options yet still i sit confused and wonder lol. Im sure something will come up eventually. I actually had a very quiet weekend this time. Wasnt a good one what so ever but yea it all came right in the end. There seems to be a lot of new born babies around at school recently, soooo cute!! Exams are coming up soon *hides under duvet* theyre only practise ones but i still hate them. We have to stay for the full three hours which sux. Exams are just bad in total. If they had an exam on lounging on the beach now thatd be good. 5 days to spring!!!! Woo hoo!!! Then itll be summer and that means no school and lotsa beach days and tramping for as long as we want. Oh and maybe sum responsible stuff lol. I learnt a very important thing today, and that is that my friends will always stick by me no matter what and will defend me to the last thing lol. They rock!!! Hmm whatelse has happened..... or is happening.... oh yea me and my friend are entering the talent quest and doing this long as dance routine its like 6 mins long lol. shouldbe heaps of fun as its our last year and all. lol and thats about it really, not a lot happens in Okaihau but thats just how we roll lol XD Keep dreaming

Studying with Vivaldi

Ok well, i have a massive geography test 2morrow and am freaking out trying to learn all the specific case study for it. It's based on Tourism in Queenstown so yes... ever need a complete run down on stats for that come to me lol. I went to the beach on Sunday!!! It was complete blue sky but cold as, cold as in there was still frost on the ground at 1 in the afternoon lol. Thats cold in Northland!! But we went swimming anyways and came out totally frozen but happy as cos hey, its the sea and its winter so its like a rarity when u do get to go to the beach right. We climbed up this big as hill as well not using the path lol so we went through all this springy as bush to get to the top where theres this cool monument thing. Hmm, on the school front its just the same really. English is unbearable as usual, but other than that its pretty good. It's got to the stage where its time to move on though. We have figured out tho that studying with classical music in the background alters your brainwaves or something so that you can study better haha, its still in the experimentation stage though hehe. On another note, i got my ear pierced again today. Just down from the highest one i got XD wasnt as sore as i had anticipated. So i got 4 in one ear now hehe. 3 in the other one. All pretty colours lol. We've got midterms soon, in like 5 weeks i think. So starting to study hard as cos i want to pass these ones so that the end of year ones arent a major cramming session like last year cos that was just bad. I lost my voice b4 the geography exam from repeating all the stuff we needed to remember over and over again lol. Iv learnt my lesson well and truely for that one. Hopefully we'll get the ball pictures back soon. Its been like over a month now so they should be coming back soon. So yea, thats about the pretty little picture thats school life lol. Candy Mountain Charlie

So, the weekend totally rocked!! My friends and I went up to the beach house from Friday to Sunday and had the meanest laziest time ever hehe. After downing the tiniest bit of 80% alcohol which was incredibly discusting we had some tasty as pea and ham soup at the staff dinner then off we went up north. We got up there late as and tried to watch a movie in bed but fell asleep in the first half hour or so lol. Saturday, well when we were awake we stayed in bed watching movies and playing playstation and mostly txting in sum cases XD We did surface for a while to play some pool and to get sum food. Such nanas we are, having afternoon naps. It's surprising how tiring doing nothing actually is lol. Over the weekend, i was slowly corrupted. No longer is high school musical my favourite music. I am now into Korn, Disturbed, Nickelback etc. Guess I hadnt even given that kinda stuff a chance but now its like yea!!! School is well zzzzzzz. Its getting a bit repetitive but yea, its cool cos i get to see a certain someone everyday so thats awesome. I have officially decided i cant wait for summer anymore. Bring on the sun and days spent at the beach, its gonna be totally cool, seen as how its my last summer holidays as a secondary school kid. We got Wednesday off because of the weather so I spent it inside all day with a certain sumone. It was windy as again and mum feared for our deck roof but luckily it stayed on. Hmmm apart from our sleepy cool weekend not much else is happening just school and stuff as per usual. My hair is gonna turn grey from biology and english is confusing the heck outta me but apart from that its being pretty dull lol. So yea..... keep dreaming!!

What a Windy Weekend

Well people. Its finally the end of a long and slow week at school and i was looking forward to spending time in the great outdoors and what happens??!! This massive as thing they call a "Subtropical Cyclone" blows in and ruins it thats what happens. So it is currently 7.39 am and its pouring down and blowing a gale and its not set to ease!!! Dumb or what. Im known as the weather freak in my house because i always know whats gonna happen because i frequently check it. Guess its an interest of mine. I would follow it up as a career but i dont do maths or physics because my mind doesnt really allow for that kinda thing lol, its a bit above my level. i might do geography or something similar. I should put a bit in here about Izak going to Thailand!!!! Good luck Flashman!! Anyways moving on, Im having a munchie movie night tonight with my friends, should be fun fun. Hmm bring on summer i reckon. This is going to be a short blog cos i cant really be bothered typing and my fingers are cold lol so bye for next time, hope everyone doesnt get blown away XD

Holidays!! ahem sorry i mean "study break"

Holidays totally rock dont they. Sleep ins to as late as you want and no daily worries about what day on the timetable it is or if you have enough white t-shirts to get u through the week. Its Friday of week 1 now and im exhausted haha. Been down to whangarei twice, once to play sum bowling which i came um last haha but it was all good fun and the second time to do sum shopping. Iv also been enjoying the great outdoors heaps thanks to a certain sumone and im going into the wild for 2 days hehe so should be yet another adventure, we have sum mean as ones. I really should do sum study at sum stage for geography and biology but im just not feeling it round about now so i think it can wait for the second week. Then its term three with midterms and all the joys of school lol, nah i like it really its like the only barrier between me and the "real world" which i have a problem with because what does that term actually ensue?? Is it just scare tactics?? My view on it is the world is what u make it and how you live in it so if you live in the way that you want to and achieve all your goals and your dreams then the real world is gonna totally rock and thats how i plan to live, my way.

Auckland Trip 2008

So, iv just got back from Auckland and im soooooo tired. A whole week of hanging out with my friends in the big city, experiencing life at uni and generally living city styles. On Sunday we left Okaihau in our 3 cool vans (Sarcasm) and arrived at the marae after 4 hours sitting next to sum of my more excentric friends. It has underfloor heating there, and its nice as. Monday saw us going to visit Otago and auckland uni and of course shopping. I cant remember exactly but i think thats the day me and a certain sumone went up the Sky tower which was totally cool, saw heaps of people doing the skyjump. Night time was lazer strike which of course was fun as, lots of running around and screaming. Tuesday was AUT and massey i think, im extremly tired right now so i wouldnt expect an accurate account. Movies again tuesday night, we saw The Happening and on Sunday we saw Zohan which we all thought was v.disturbing to say the least. Wednesday was work experience and i went to a workplace which deals with weather etc. It was awesome as and i learnt heaps, it took me aaaages to get there though like an hour of walking in the wrong type of shoes (ouch!!!) and getting lost but in the end i got there so thats great. After that i took myself shopping and for lunch before meeting my friend for a trip to the art gallery which was also very cool cos it showed me a whole new side of art. Lets just say that when i returned to the marae, it was to my bed and i wasnt intent on moving for the next few hours. Thursday saw us going to Hamilton for a trip to Waikato uni and Wintec. Both cool, even though i didnt actually go to wintec, i went shopping instead as my name wasnt on the list. That night we went shopping again which was totally awesome cos, well its shopping and i got to hang out with a very special friend of mine. Friday morning saw me getting up at quarter to six in an effort to get my name on the job list to get the easiest job for cleaning up. Turns out people had actually got up during the night in desperation to secure the easiest job but i got a relatively easy one so it wasnt so bad least i didnt have to clean the bathroom cos thats a yucky job. Then after that we went to snowplanet and did sum skiing for the first time, its hard but incredibly fun. Then it was back to little old Okaihau to find awful weather which is still happening to this minute. Rain and v.strong wind :( winter sux but yea.... thats my week in a nutshell, catch ya later :D

A brief glimpse into my world

4 more days to Auckland trip!!! It's gonna be so cool. Iv heard suggestions such as snow planet, go-karting, ice-skating etc so of course its gonna be fun filled the entire week. Plus we get to go see most of the universitys and a days work experience so that should b cool as too. Get a bit of background info for possibilitys next year. On more sombre terms, english speech coming up. Mine is on the nature of strength. It was the only way to encorporate all the mounaineering books iv read into what i was actually meant to be talking about. Im really hoping mine will be after Auckland trip because i havent memorised my speech yet so that will be my next mission. The weekend was fun, even though it rained all the time. I went bush on sunday which was fun fun fun, got totally soaked and muddy and scratched to bits by the plants but hey... what could be more fun than an adventure in your own back yard right plus i love being outside doing stuff so yea... couldnt have asked for a better sunday. Oooh i got my report yesterday. It was real good apart from english where the words extremly quiet and "sometimes" has a pleasing work output!!! but oh well. I know im doing my best so thats fine by me. Anyways after that.... im sooo looking forward to next week its gonna totally rock getting to spend the entire week with all my friends. 2008 Ball

So yesterday was my last OC ball!! scary but cool. After about 2 and a half hours at the hairdressers and nearly a whole can of hairspray along side about 30 pins I went home to well do nothing really. It was really really cold so I put my slippers and dressing gown back on with my exciting hairstyle looked quite the picture. It got to like half six and i was finally ready which in my case meant not being able to breathe or walk properly. Our (and by our I mean my awesome date shannon and myself) original entrance was my dads white car!! with L plates, couldnt have got more original than that. We got there at like 7.15 and watched everyone elses original entrances which included a fire engine and a limo then went inside to admire the strobe room, decorations etc.... After this point its just typical ball stuff... food, photos and dancing. We must have had like a million photos and spilt about 4 drinks with our random game of balloon catch over the table, dont ask. Everyone looked really awesome including my sister who went this year for the first time, even though she left early!! I'll never get that one but oh well. As im new to this site i have no clue how to put pix on so for anyone who wants to look they are on bebo and if u want to know my bebo u should already know it cos u know me unless your a stalker..... yea. But yea.. it was such a cool night and am kinda sad it was the last one but i guess theres plenty more to look forward to in the end so yea.. im gonna keep smiling cos thats just me XD

Just a Random few words

Well yet again the year is half over and im still undecided what to do about the next one. I'v got soooo many options but which one? If i get accepted to do Headspace which is a really cool gap year then im gonna do that but if i dont, im hopefully gonna go to Nepal and do a Teach and trek programme which is basically where you teach kids in poverty and then u work in orphanages and things then go trekking which we all know is my ultimate dream, climbing Everest. So yea, maybe go to base camp but save the actual climb to im properly ready lol. OPC was one of the best things iv ever done!!! Bit late to put it in my blog but its definately worth a mention. The ball is this weekend!! the last one as well, scary!! But then theres the massive fact that after school Im free, to explore the globe which i fully intend on doing, no ordinary stuff for me thank you. We got to do the Summits for Ed tour on Wednesday which was really really cool. We got to climb our local mountain and then have a small ceremony to celebrate Ed's life which meant a lot to me as im sure it did to every one else. Hmm well yea thats about my life in a vague teenage description kinda way so yea keep smiling.

End of the week

So this was like a ultra important week for me this week. On Wednesday i had the opportunity to climb Te Ahuahu in memory of Sir Edmund Hillary. It was part of the tribute tour that was being going through NZ. We climbed up and had a minute of silence and had a ceremony in his honour which was really really awesome as it was like an opportunity to finally say good bye and also celebrate everything he stands for. Plus the people who were running it from OPC brought an ice axe which he had signed so i got to hold that for a while which got me totally buzzing because one day i will be holding an ice axe on the summit of Everest just like he did, so yea that was my high light for the week. So im new to the whole blogging thing so u cant blaim me if this is totally rambly and outa place. hmm what else happened.... well i passed my geography test lol. Oh and the famine went well. Totally hunger struck throughout the weekend but it was worth temporary starvation to raise money for people in poverty. Yay long weekend this weekend!! I should probably mention Izak sumwhere in this illogical piece of literature, its his blogging influence thats responsible for me inflicting this whatever it could be called on this site. Hmmmm yea that should do it XD oh this thing has a spellcheck too lol thats handy.
